In 2003, Freshpair — a leading online retailer of women's and men's intimate apparel — founded National Underwear Day to promote body positivity and to encourage people to embrace underwear for all its comfort and goodness. They even threw a huge party in Times Square years later, breaking a Guinness World Record with 800+ peeps dancing the day away in their undies.
We can learn a thing or two from a brand like this: • Share content that empowers your audience
• Reveal a deal when it feels right
• Keep the promo brief (pun intended)
• Be flexible, like elastic, in case you need to adjust content at the last minute
• And when in doubt, create a holiday related to your brand, & then commit to it
Check out this safe-for-work email collection filled with socks, hats, and — you guessed it — undies. (P.S. We promise no judging if you're reading this in your underwear as we speak. P.P.S. If you are, we don't need to know. But kudos to you.) | |
