Hi there 👋🏽 I'm Umber — a content writer at Buffer. This is the first time I'm overseeing the newsletter and I'm so excited to meet you 😃 Today, I wanted to talk a bit about identity. As a Muslim-American woman, my identity has played a huge role in my life. It's a topic I've written about often and I'm grateful that I've always been given the space to express all of the complexities that come with it. At Buffer, we know the importance of diversity and inclusion, and we aim to amplify the voices of diverse individuals, especially those from marginalized communities. That's why last week, we shared two important posts highlighting the LGBTQ+ community in honor of Pride Month. We hope these stories can give you some insights into the lived experiences of the LGBTQ+ community and introduce you to some fantastic LGBTQ+ businesses. We also published a piece on the best practices for TikTok and a guest post from a small business owner who travels the world with four kids while running her business and exactly what it costs her.
