1. MIT Experts Find Security Flaw in M1 Chip

Researchers at MIT have found a flaw in Apple's fairly secure M1 chip, noting that since it's hardware-based, there's really no way to patch it. Luckily, it doesn't pose much of a threat to M1 Mac users, and can't be exploited remotely. Still, it's something to watch for in the future. Careful, Apple! |

Since 2015, it looks like macOS hasn't seen a true zero-day vulnerability (an unpatched security flaw still in the wild) until 2021, with iOS only showing a few along the way. Which just goes to show you that even the most "secure" OSes out there can still be vulnerable. |
