Newsletters: Updates to Buffer’s Terms of Service

Hi there,

At Buffer, we're focused on continually improving our services to provide our customers with the best possible experience. To address some of our services' changes and make our policies more transparent and understandable, we're updating our Terms of Service to include:

A column next to each section with a clear summary of that section.
Guidelines related to our new Start Page offering (Section 6).
And, additional information on how to report claimed infringement (Section 10.3).

We also want to be more clear about the type of content that we will allow. Section 8 now includes our stance on prohibiting misleading content or the spread of misinformation. This includes:

Misleading or potentially harmful content; content that advances any misinformation narrative, conspiracy theories, or hoax that we determine as leading to harm.
COVID-19 misinformation that could contribute to a risk of spreading COVID-19 and vaccine misinformation; and content intended to suppress one's right to vote.
We will also suspend or terminate accounts if we determine they are being used to advocate, encourage, or sponsor hateful content, harassment, or a threat of physical harm.

We'd love to invite you to help us live up to this stance. If you believe that Buffer is being used to spread misleading and harmful content, please let us know through our Content Report Form.

The updated terms will go into effect on June 7, 2022. If you continue to use our services on or after June 7, 2022 you agree to the updated terms. If you don't agree to the updated terms you can cancel your subscription at anytime.
