| | In a world and a time continually stranger than fiction, we can still turn to books for comfort and comic relief. When we were stuck within our own four walls for months at a time, we could swiftly escape into other countries, galaxies, dimensions and ways of thinking with the turn of a page. When we need to turn off both our overactive minds and our screens, the pages of a book are always there to hold us. This summer, we collaborated with our friends at Pop Culture Happy Hour to create literary genre starter kits because, well, we just love reading that much! We interviewed authors from every genre and learned something new every time — hopefully you will, too! - Romance: Linda Holmes + romance topics = a match made in heaven.
- Sci-Fi and Fantasy: No, they’re not the same, but they both overlap in awesomeness that Petra Mayer and Glen Weldon explain!
- Young Adult: Glen leads this conversation about why young adult literature is certainly not just for tweens and teens. (And don’t you forget it!)
Happy reading, and happy weekend, all. I hope it’s a page-turner! — Andee Tagle, Life Kit producer |
