Justice Department charges over a dozen with spying |

- The Justice Department has announced criminal charges against 13 Chinese nationals, accusing them of trying to unlawfully assert Beijing's influence in the United States. [USA Today / Kevin Johnson and Bart Jansen]
- In one case, prosecutors allege two men paid a US law enforcement official thousands in cash and jewelry for information about an investigation into a Chinese company. The official was working as a double agent with the FBI. [CNN / Hannah Rabinowitz]

Rishi Sunak will become UK's next prime minister |
