Rumor has it that Thomas Edison invented the phonograph on this day in 1877 to transcribe messages. (Other peeps believe it happened months later based on patent filings, but we won't spin our wheels about this.)
Fast-forward to this day in 2002, a California man named Gary Freiberg created National Vinyl Record Day in honor of Thomas Edison's invention. As a nonprofit effort, Vinyl Record Day celebrates the music community, preserving audio history, and getting down to some good ole pressings.
Email marketing can sometimes feel like vinyl records: developed ions ago, people were stoked about it in the beginning, it faded away, was dubbed a dead medium, and then people were into it again, and they started collecting emails on some internet site. Get into the groove with this audio-friendly email collection, and create your own email playlist collection by signing into your RGE account.
