Google Maps Makes It Easier to Get Around Google Maps is getting a few new features to improve convenience and user safety. What kind? Well, how about a photorealistic aerial landmark view, detailed cycling info that shows traffic density, route elevation, and more, and new location notifications? We can't believe it didn't have these already. 2. Step Up Your Video Editing With Chromebook's New Software Suite Chromebooks have come a long way, and that progress isn't slowing down. Case in point, Google has announced Chromebooks will receive a full-featured video editing and movie creation software suite as part of a refresh to Google Photos and ChromeOS. Not bad for a tiny and inexpensive line of laptops. 3. Yamaha Pushes Into the World of Gaming Accessories Yamaha is wading into the world of gaming accessories with a headset and a mixer, along with some nifty software. The company says the YH–G01 headset and ZG01 gaming mixer are an "optimal combination of connectivity, control, and effects in a super easy-to-use layout." Big talk, Yamaha. We're interested. 🦑 Go Deeper Heated car seats are nice in the winter months, but could you imagine paying a monthly fee to use them? Unfortunately, BMW is doing exactly that, and Jon Bitner wants you to prepare to see similar fees in the future.
