Hi there, Hailley here 👋
Last week was Sophie's final newsletter as she transitions to new and exciting things at Buffer. (You can read more about what's next for Sophie here.) We may have already crossed paths as I run the Communications and Content team, if not, nice to meet you virtually!
This is my first time sending this particular weekly newsletter and as someone who loves a weekly newsletter, I'm really looking forward to it. My name might not be the only one you see popping up around here, we have a great content team at Buffer and we'll all be pitching in to craft the best possible newsletter for you.
On the list this week, we have inspiration for your Instagram Stories content creation, monetization on TikTok, plus, an in-depth look at how one agency manages social media for their clients and a guest post from a small business owner talking about how she's conquered burnout. You may have noticed we've started writing about TikTok a bit more recently, we will have more news for you on that front soon, but check out our TikTok profile to follow along.
Hope you're having a lovely start to the week and we'll see you next Monday! P.S. We run a series called Ask Buffer where we answer questions from our community about social media and business. Here's the most recent piece about hiding likes on Instagram. If you have an Ask Buffer question please share it with us on Twitter. :)
In this post we feature 12 brands and what they're doing on Instagram Stories. Stories' ease-of-use means that you need to grab the attention of your viewer quickly because as easy as it is to reach people, it's just as easy to lose them. So here's our best advice and what's working for these 12 brands. New to TikTok? No problem. This article will show you how to get started using TikTok for business and leverage the platform's free marketing tools and resources designed specifically to help businesses succeed on the platform. TikTok's explosion in popularity has led both users and the platform to innovate different ways to make money on the platform. You might already know some popular ways to make money on TikTok — like sponsored content and the TikTok Creator Fund — but there are several other methods that have been successful for creators that we share, too. In this guest post from Meha Agrawal, the founder of Silk + Sonder, a self-care membership that makes daily mental wellness easy and fun through monthly journals, an app with daily rituals, and more, Meha gets personal with her experience with burnout, she shares "[Burnout] wasn't caused by a major company event or life crisis, just the typical requirements of being a founder." We take a deep dive with Influence Media, a creative marketing agency based in the UK, about their approach to using video in their marketing and growing social media followings for their clients. Their advice for growing your followers? Consistency is key. Here's what they said, "The secret to a great social media strategy is consistency. Buffer is the perfect tool to maintain a consistent posting schedule, especially if you're juggling content across multiple channels." If you run a marketing agency, check out our agency plan where you can easily manage your client's social accounts in one place.
Thanks for reading! ❤️
