Najmah Salam's playful and clever design collection

Happy Tuesday, friend. We just got back from another great unconference, this time across the pond, at Unspam London.

With London on the mind...meet Najmah Salam, Head of Marketing at Filtered and fellow UK email geek. You might have seen her sharing her knowledge on Feedback Friday, designing email themed swag, or rocking the ukulele. Originally from Singapore, Najmah says the process of moving to the UK took about two years.

"I was immensely grateful once I got here," Najmah says. "However, it was difficult to start from scratch without my support system of family and friends in Singapore. I think what helped me was to be open to being vulnerable and feeling a little silly in a totally new environment. I wouldn't change a thing because my first job in the UK was where I fell in love with email!"

With a background in packaging design, Najmah became familiar with email as one of her many tasks as a marketing assistant and says she fell down the rabbit hole from there. "I love email because it's a beautiful combination of data, design and marketing. When these elements harmonise, it becomes magical."

Check out this email collection curated by Najmah, filled with playful and clever designs (including a few of her own emails featured on the RGE site!).

Organizing your email design process
You should start thinking about design as you're coming up with your emails. First, figure out what kind of visual theme you'll need based on the messaging. Then, start looking at the assets your organization currently has, including any related marketing materials.

"We got our biggest customer from RGE."
Bethany Stachenfeld, CEO of SendSpark, told us their biggest customer came from Really Good Emails. And it wasn't just that - she showed us that RGE had sent SendSpark thousands of people that generated in hundreds of leads and paid accounts.

Other CEOs have weighed in too. Take Product Hunt's Ryan Hoover who said "Really Good Emails has been doing it from day one" and Litmus' who said "RGE has managed to become this little darling in the email marketing community."

If you want to advertise on RGE, our newsletter, or get involved in our events, it's as easy as sending an email to companies@reallygoodemails.com.
